Over at The Classics Club, they’re doing something fun – they’re calling it the Classics Spin. The idea is to list twenty books from your Classics Club list that you haven’t read yet. Then, the mods of the club will post a number, and you will read the corresponding book. Simple!

Honestly, I’m pretty neutral about most of these, but there are a few I’m not super excited about. I’d kinda like to get one of the ones I already have a copy of. On the other hand, it might be good if I’m “forced” to read one of the clunkers!

Wandering in the Stacks 
I noticed you had Palace of Desire on your list. Have you read Palace Walk, the first volume of the Cairo Trilogy? No reason you couldn’t start in the middle, but I thought I would mention it in case you didn’t know. The three books go in chronological order so there is some benefit to reading them in sequence. I know it seems like a lot to read, I put it off for years for that reason, but once I got started I went through all three of them very quickly. They are hard to put down. Just thought I would mention it. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
Yes, I read the first one last year. I’ve been putting off reading the second, as I’ve read that it focuses on one of my least favorite characters, but I know I have to get trough it so I can read book three 🙂

I’ve only read The Colour Purple & A Room of One’s Own on your list. Sadly I recall nothing about AROOO at all – perhaps I should add it to my ever-growing list! The Colour Purple is one of the handful of books in this world that can actually make me cry out loud 🙂
There’s a few on your list that I havent heard of … such as #8 & #11 but they seem like interesting titles …
I definitely picked a few “different” titles on my original list.
You also have An American Tragedy on your list. I’ve always wanted to read this, but I can’t seem to get the will to pick it up.
I loved “Sister Carrie,” so that helps!
